What we check for every concept.
From the part to a checked strip concept: forming, stations, strip layout, springback and press fit, prepared by GODI and reviewed by our engineers.
Developed and owned by GODI
Every check on this page runs on GODI's own software: forming and thinning, springback and restrike, strip stability, strip layouts and 3D strip layouts, and critical die details such as cam units. We develop these solvers in-house, and they are GODI's property.
Forming feasibility and thinning
Will the part crack or get too thin? Critical zones are marked with their value against the limit, or the result is a clear OK.
The part, station by station
The forming sequence from the flat blank to the finished part, with every station checked.
Strip layout concepts with press check
Two to three progressive-die concepts with pitch, coil width, piercing, trimming, forming, restrike and cut-off, compared on your presses.
Springback and restrike
Springback of the part as held in the checking fixture, and the restrike that brings it within half the drawing tolerance.
Strip stability check
Will the strip feed safely through the die at the planned speed?
Critical die details
Critical details of the die, such as tailor-made cam units for side piercing, designed and checked for rigidity.
